3 Years

Daniel and I have been married 3 whole years :) Our anniversary fell on a Sunday this year so we celebrated by going to regional conference (more like taking tuns entertaining/chasing a baby in the hall) good times, and family dinner that night.  I've come to the conclusion that when holidays fall on Sundays there's not a lot of celebrating that can happen and when you have a child there's not really time to just stop and hold hands and reminisce on your wedding day.  It was a good day with my little family and having L in our lives is just a blessing that has come from our marriage 3 years ago.  The following Monday I got us some Oreos to celebrate.

9-10 months Baby

Wow the time just got away from us so this is a two month update.  I guess the summer months just must be crazy or mom brain really does exist and I've become forgetful.  Our summer was really good, we spent a lot of time with our little family.  Daniel worked full time throughout the summer so that left me and Lucy to spend a lot of time together.  We both missed him a lot, L missed him so much that she could be having the worst day and then all of a sudden her day is made when Dad comes home.  Its the cutest thing to see those two.  Daniel started school a couple weeks ago and this semester is going really well for him and his schedule is pretty perfect for all of us.  L has really changed a lot these last few months and has hit a lot of milestones and gained this whole new personality.  Here's some updates :)

- at about 8 1/2 months she started walking
-went from just one meal of baby food to two
-loves most foods
-met a great 2 great aunts
-shes currently wearing between 9-12 and some 18 month clothes.  Shes very long and skinny
-loves Dads soccer balls, she pretty much loves any ball she can get her hands on.
- started sleeping with a little bunny stuffed animal to help with sleep
-went through a few weeks of rough sleep but always seems to get back on schedule
-started taking 2 naps and they a pretty long now
- loves puff snacks
-learned to hold her sippy cup
-loves loves loves going outside to the playground
-loves to climb anything.  She started to clime up the playground
- She seems to be very interested by older children an doesn't want to hang with babies her age.  I think just because shes on a whole new developmental stage then a lot of kids her age.
- At her 9 month appointment she was 28 inches tall, 19 lbs
-The doctor was very impressed with how much she could do and just commented on how advanced she was.  We hope she keeps this up when she enters school ;)
-She tried ice cream for the first time (shes a huge fan)
- She has a new trick of handing you stuff but then running off before you have a chance to take it.
- She laughs if were laughing at something
-She raises her eyebrows a people
-She finally started clapping and waving
-She really likes reading time with dad, but just resonantly we think shes getting tired of her books because looses interest.
-We took some adorable 9 m pictures just around our community
-L is pretty naughty sometimes and doesn't listen when shes doing naughty things.  We usually find her playing with moms laptop cord or taking dads school books off the shelf, or two new favorites raising the toilet seat and turning on the fan.
-went to the provo library and the paleontology museum
-she takes the best selfies with mom and dad
-we like to do dance parties with her and just hold her and dance.  Tonight we put on some music and told her to dance and she started dancing.  Its so cute she just keeps bending her legs and bouncing up and down to the beat.
- L's room got a little make over.  One of the steps taken to maybe help her sleep at night was to make her room cute and interesting to her.  Below ill show what I did on the wall across from her crib.  Since doing this I'll hear her when she wakes up just talking to us, yelling ddadddad or mom mmam
- Oh man shes just such a cutie.  We're pretty in love with her and love being her parents.

I'm a couple weeks late on this update

Our little girl has sure grown a lot this last month both in physical changes and many other things.  She just continues to amaze us with her personality and smarts.

Update
-She can stand herself up without help from people and or objects
-starting to eat more things that we eat
-walks while holding on with just one hand
-got a new pair of walking shoes
-loves bubbles
-still loves, loves, loves dad
-sleeps really good at night, but is a terrible napper
-broke a tooth on the bottom
-loves crackers
-loves being outside and going on walks
-went on her first hike to Bridal veil falls and loved the water
-just talks, talks, talks.  Her favorite word is Mama which just makes me so happy each time I hear it
-She very attached to Mom and Dad.  I dont mind this though I love that we have that relationship.
-loves bath time a little more now, or she just loves the excitement of water filling the tub.
- Met her uncle M for the first time who was serving a mission, which also brought her first bus ride

She is just so much fun and full of so many new things that I'm sure this is only half of the many updates on Baby L.

7 Months

Baby L is now 7 months and holy cow has she grown up so much since 6 months.  We are just both so amazed at this new little personality that L is getting and all the new things she has learned just within the last few weeks.

L's updates

-went from army crawling, to crawling, to now standing up/climbing everything
-she loves to walk around with mom and dads help
-for the most part still loves baby food
-loves to talk. She has this adorable little voice that is now babbling words that sound like mom and dad
-more interested in climbing and crawling then toys
-getting a little better at napping but she still has some waking up issues at night.  Thankfully she can be soothed and put back down.
-loves her dad like a lot
-loves little kids
-grabbing everything she sees
-makes diaper changes quite the challenge, she loves to roll and create a wrestling match
-has had quite a few bonks on the head due to her new found love of standing up to things
-went to her first splash pad (hated it, clung to momma the whole time)
-loves to be whistled at
-her hair is getting really long.  I was able to put it in a little pony that was immediately taken out haha
-she makes us laugh all the time.  She just has such a funny personality for such a little thing.
-loves to go outside, she knows what the door is for
-we think shes been going through some teething here and there
-Is getting so tall. I'm contemplating getting onesies extenders or making some because shes just so long in her torso.
-Met her new cousin H, and gave Eskimo kisses to cousin A
-Had her first kiss from a girl and a boy.  The girl was a neighbor baby that's 2 weeks older, L grabbed her head in return.  The boy was her cousin J, so I guess that doesn't really count.  We've had a very serious talk with her about both kisses and shes agreed to not let it happen again.  haha
- beginning to wave a little.  We're working on that and blowing kisses.
-loves to look at books. I can usually calm her down by looking at some books.

Boy oh boy do we just love our little

The Bean Museum

BYU has an museum that you can go to called the Bean museum.  We decided to take L on Momorial day.  It was a pretty neat place.  I was impressed with how many real (stuffed of course) animals they had.  It was nice to have some family time together.
We thought she was a big girl until we compared her to an elephant haha

We have a 6 month old

Our baby is 6 months old.  I know I say it every month, but really how did she get to be 6 months old. She is just the cutest thing around.

-She still loves food.  There's a few things that we think upset her stomach but for the most part she has loved everything we've given her.
-She still is not really consistent with eating and sleeping schedule, but is still sleeping through the night well with just really early mornings.  Good thing I'm a morning person for the most part.
-She does the army crawl, so crawling is in the near future.
-She loves to eat her feet
-She has moved on to different binkies that match her age
-She loves being outside, walking, and on mom and dads bed.
-Shes so talkative, and makes noises that sound like actual responses to our questions.  She makes this long sigh as if shes bored of the conversation taking place
-Shes starting to really love little kids
-She is very intrigued by technology, probably because its so bright and shiny
-She goes to Elders Quorum now with dad due to moms new RS calling
-Shes a little heater and is always warm, so she loves the AC
-She is starting to wake up and be content to play in her crib for a few, when we go to get her shes just so happy and silly
-She loves her dad, when he comes home its like her day is made
- Shes a pretty big baby, not so much in weight but shes so long.  Shes as tall as two of her cousins that are already one.
-She sleeps in the craziest positions, and usually is at a different end of the crib by morning.
- She makes us so happy
-We sure love our little girl

My first Mother's Day

So this year was my official first Mother's Day, and it was wonderful.  I love being a mom, and it helps that I have an adorable baby to be a mom too.  Daniel surprised me by coming home and telling me a few days prior to Sat. that his sister was babysitting on Sat. so he could take me on a date for Mother's Day.  I thought it was so sweet.  I was pretty excited because with a little one and living on a budget dates usually don't happen as much as we would like.  They usually are just playing a game once the babes has went to bed.  So needless to say this date was needed and was so much fun.  Daniel let me choose what we were doing for an activity and then choosing where to go for lunch.  We went bowling at BYUs bowling alley, then he showed me around the library where he'd been working, then surprised me with letting me pick out a few books for L, then Chili's for lunch.  I love my husband so much and am grateful that although I'm not his Mother he recognizes that I'm his daughters mother and wanted to do something special for me.  On Sunday he even humored me and wore a matching tie to match me and L (wish I would have got a picture)  Our ward did cinnamon rolls for all the women in the ward.
