Daddy's Birthday

I think Daniel had a pretty good birthday considering he had work the school all day, but I tried to make it as special as I could.  I sent him a morning text with an adorable picture of L that will be shown below.  L and I both wore blue because that's daddy's favorite color.  I made him a dinner that I know he likes and then a snickerdoodle cake for dessert.  I got this idea off of pinterest where you use post-its and write on them the things you love about the person then hang them around the house.  So me and L did that while dad was at school.

L.O.V.E

This Valentines day was definately different having a baby, but it was so much fun.  We got to spend the whole day together as a family.  We woke up to a very happy vocal baby this morning, who was giving us all sorts of smiles. We all got ready and headed out for a little grocery shopping, then came home for lunch and to put L down for an afternoon nap.  She slept for a couple hours while Dad and Mom watched uncle S at Rootstech via skype.  We also were able to get a little snooze in while L was asleep.  We then played with her a little bit and started dinner.  I love Valentines day and making it cute and special.  Our first year of marriage I did a picnic in the living room and that has remained a tradition, to eat dinner on a blanket on the living room floor.  I planned a meal that I know is my mans favorite and went to work while he babysat.  We had Meatloaf, garlic potatoes and corn.  I also thought it would be fun to get some sparkling cider and make a big heart shaped cookie.  L was so good while we ate and we tried to keep her awake for as long as we could so we could give her a bath, feed her and then putting her to bed would be a piece of cake.  This was a great plan and she was so tired that we had her to bed by 7:45.

 Looks like we had brownies for dinner but thats the meatloaf.  We also ate on new plates that we got for our wedding but have saved until now.

Baby girl is 3 months

Wow my baby is 3 months old, and just getting cuter and cuter.
Highlights about baby L

- She usually sleeps anywhere from 6 to 9 hours at night, theirs occasional earlier nights and surprising all nighters.
- She is going longer periods of time without needing to eat, but is still a really good eater.
- She smiles a lot and coos at mom and dad.
-She rolls over with a little help in the leg/butt area, but once on her stomach she usually can roll back to her back.
- Shes getting better at napping other places besides my arms.  This week we've been working on putting her down for napping even if she only lasts ten min.
- She still seems unsure about baths still, hopefully that will become more fun as she gets older.
- She loves her hands and is becoming more alert to grab things and put in her mouth.  She always puts this monkey that hangs from her play mat in her mouth.
- She still doesn't really like car rides unless asleep
-She's still wearing a few 0-3 month clothing aslong as its longer, but shes in a lot of 3 month clothing.  Her pj's are another story, those would need to be 3-6 month or just wear nightgowns.  We have a long girl on our hands with long feet.
-We do this trick where it first started out us grabing her hands and putting her in a sitting possition, but she decided she likes to stand more.  Future fast walker on our hands.  She loves being upright, even when were holding her she sits on our hip like a toddler.

We sure do love her, and this cute new personality she's getting.
