7 Months

Baby L is now 7 months and holy cow has she grown up so much since 6 months.  We are just both so amazed at this new little personality that L is getting and all the new things she has learned just within the last few weeks.

L's updates

-went from army crawling, to crawling, to now standing up/climbing everything
-she loves to walk around with mom and dads help
-for the most part still loves baby food
-loves to talk. She has this adorable little voice that is now babbling words that sound like mom and dad
-more interested in climbing and crawling then toys
-getting a little better at napping but she still has some waking up issues at night.  Thankfully she can be soothed and put back down.
-loves her dad like a lot
-loves little kids
-grabbing everything she sees
-makes diaper changes quite the challenge, she loves to roll and create a wrestling match
-has had quite a few bonks on the head due to her new found love of standing up to things
-went to her first splash pad (hated it, clung to momma the whole time)
-loves to be whistled at
-her hair is getting really long.  I was able to put it in a little pony that was immediately taken out haha
-she makes us laugh all the time.  She just has such a funny personality for such a little thing.
-loves to go outside, she knows what the door is for
-we think shes been going through some teething here and there
-Is getting so tall. I'm contemplating getting onesies extenders or making some because shes just so long in her torso.
-Met her new cousin H, and gave Eskimo kisses to cousin A
-Had her first kiss from a girl and a boy.  The girl was a neighbor baby that's 2 weeks older, L grabbed her head in return.  The boy was her cousin J, so I guess that doesn't really count.  We've had a very serious talk with her about both kisses and shes agreed to not let it happen again.  haha
- beginning to wave a little.  We're working on that and blowing kisses.
-loves to look at books. I can usually calm her down by looking at some books.

Boy oh boy do we just love our little

The Bean Museum

BYU has an museum that you can go to called the Bean museum.  We decided to take L on Momorial day.  It was a pretty neat place.  I was impressed with how many real (stuffed of course) animals they had.  It was nice to have some family time together.
We thought she was a big girl until we compared her to an elephant haha

We have a 6 month old

Our baby is 6 months old.  I know I say it every month, but really how did she get to be 6 months old. She is just the cutest thing around.

-She still loves food.  There's a few things that we think upset her stomach but for the most part she has loved everything we've given her.
-She still is not really consistent with eating and sleeping schedule, but is still sleeping through the night well with just really early mornings.  Good thing I'm a morning person for the most part.
-She does the army crawl, so crawling is in the near future.
-She loves to eat her feet
-She has moved on to different binkies that match her age
-She loves being outside, walking, and on mom and dads bed.
-Shes so talkative, and makes noises that sound like actual responses to our questions.  She makes this long sigh as if shes bored of the conversation taking place
-Shes starting to really love little kids
-She is very intrigued by technology, probably because its so bright and shiny
-She goes to Elders Quorum now with dad due to moms new RS calling
-Shes a little heater and is always warm, so she loves the AC
-She is starting to wake up and be content to play in her crib for a few, when we go to get her shes just so happy and silly
-She loves her dad, when he comes home its like her day is made
- Shes a pretty big baby, not so much in weight but shes so long.  Shes as tall as two of her cousins that are already one.
-She sleeps in the craziest positions, and usually is at a different end of the crib by morning.
- She makes us so happy
-We sure love our little girl

My first Mother's Day

So this year was my official first Mother's Day, and it was wonderful.  I love being a mom, and it helps that I have an adorable baby to be a mom too.  Daniel surprised me by coming home and telling me a few days prior to Sat. that his sister was babysitting on Sat. so he could take me on a date for Mother's Day.  I thought it was so sweet.  I was pretty excited because with a little one and living on a budget dates usually don't happen as much as we would like.  They usually are just playing a game once the babes has went to bed.  So needless to say this date was needed and was so much fun.  Daniel let me choose what we were doing for an activity and then choosing where to go for lunch.  We went bowling at BYUs bowling alley, then he showed me around the library where he'd been working, then surprised me with letting me pick out a few books for L, then Chili's for lunch.  I love my husband so much and am grateful that although I'm not his Mother he recognizes that I'm his daughters mother and wanted to do something special for me.  On Sunday he even humored me and wore a matching tie to match me and L (wish I would have got a picture)  Our ward did cinnamon rolls for all the women in the ward.

5 Months

My baby is 5 months old now.  It's so crazy yet so fun.  I really sometimes miss my newborn little baby, but I also really enjoy the chubby mover we have.  L is such a good baby and is just such a blessing in our lives.

L stats

-She loves sleeping on her tummy, I put her down on back and she eventually turns over.
- reaching for toys, moms phone/hair/food/etc., her dad and mom
-Super smiley and loves being talked too
-Prefers her left side for most things, so we think we may have a left handed child
-Sleeps through the night with just occasional nights where she doesn't
-We are doing solids with her.  We've tried sweet potatoes and peas, she loves them both
-Still eats about every 2 ish hours
- Our house looks like a storage unit for babies R us, because we have so many chair/toy/saucer/bouncers for her.  She gets bored, so were trying to find something she loves.
-She got a stroller, so we go on walks during the day
-Rolls a lot, and is everywhere.  We find her across the room in a matter of seconds
-Hasn't started to full on laugh, but we can get her to squeal and kind of laugh with tickles. (freaking adorable if you ask me)
-goes to sleep with rocking and singing of primary songs
-loves when her dad comes home, and just jabbers at him
-loves mom and dads bed, espesially when we have family hang outs there
- loves bath time now, always tries to steal the wash cloth from me
- puts everything in her mouth
- getting so big, which means bigger clothes
- Just as sweet as can be

We sure do love her

Daddy's Birthday

I think Daniel had a pretty good birthday considering he had work the school all day, but I tried to make it as special as I could.  I sent him a morning text with an adorable picture of L that will be shown below.  L and I both wore blue because that's daddy's favorite color.  I made him a dinner that I know he likes and then a snickerdoodle cake for dessert.  I got this idea off of pinterest where you use post-its and write on them the things you love about the person then hang them around the house.  So me and L did that while dad was at school.
